Rusty old hulks
I came across this on How to be a Retronaut yesterday, and since I know some of you like these rusty old hulks (I'm talking at you, George!) go take a look. They're lovely photos of seriously large bits of junk.
Come to think of it, Steve, there's a half-sunken paddlewheel steamer stuck in the bank of the Verdigris River over by Catoosa. I saw it once when I was scouting the old Route 66 bridge that's now long gone. It was winter, and since all the leaves were gone, I could see the boat. I'll try to get over there for some photos, but I'm not hiking down into that valley. The walls are just too steep for these old legs.
That's a pretty cool website.....and yeah-stuff that's rusty always has a story to tell :-)
ReplyDeleteIs Australia another one of those Tulsa suburbs?
