In addition, I'm still having a hard time  wrapping my head around why Tulsa county residents need to up their sales tax to almost 9% to pay for development that I believe could be managed by private investment. I have friends that have transplanted from San Diego, for the sole reason of being able to afford a new home, and even they never had to pay such a high sales tax to live in a city with sports stadiums and one of the nicest parks I've ever had the pleasure of visiting.
