Our own Jedi master of all things mechanical, Sheldon Brown, has written the ultimate chapter in proper care of the bicycle chain. I believe it has more moving parts than the rest of the bike combined, and it's essential to the overall performance of the drive train. This could have been TOTALLY avoided with ONE kevlar belt. Imagine the MILLIONS, BILLIONS man-hour WASTED cleaning chains.
