There's another meme floating around that lists 150 things and asks how many you've done. I went down the list and found I'd actually done quite a few! But, and this is the important part, it almost reads like a list of posting possibilities.

ReplyDeleteI haven't walked the Golden Gate Bridge but I've biked it three times. I haven't been in a combat zone but I've witnessed terrorist missile attacks and car bombings first hand.
More run of the mill: I've fired rifles, shotguns and pistols; skipped all of my school reunions; shaved my head; DJ'ed; bought three houses; performed on stage; I frequently make cookies from scratch; gotten married; crashed a private party; played in the rain and the mud; climbed mountains and watched the sun rise from the mountain tops; held tarantulas and other creepy-crawlies; hugged a tree; been to Paris; slept under the stars; changed diapers; meteor shower; gave sacrificially; telescope; food fight; snowballs; eclipse; roller coasters; dancing; I'm happy with life; amazing friends; dance with foreign strangers; road trips; rock climbing; midnight beach walks; meal with strangers; Japan; milked a cow; superhero; karaoke; drive-in; heartbroken and love; Vegas; Rocky Horror; etc etc etc.

ReplyDeleteActually, I've seen the Northern Lights a few times. It's No. 14. The first time, I was a kid and thought it was some sort of thunderstorm just over the horizon. But then the lights streamed over the sky like a giant searchlight, only much, much faster. The entire sky lit up a few times too. I didn't know what it was, but I can tell you it scared the snot out of me!
Some of these are vague... for instance, I've visited Paris but only during a layover at Orly airport. So I don't think that counts. Anyway...
