Owasso YMCA cycling

From the Owasso Reporter:

The YMCA Leisure Cycling Club will meet at 6:30
PM on Mondays, 6PM on Wednesdays, and 7AM
on Saturdays. The group gets together to ride nearby
routes and areas. They start and finish at the Owasso
YMCA, 8300 N Owasso Expy. Rides will be on average
20-25 miles.

There is no need to sign up, just show up.

You probably have seen this, but wanted to pass it along just in case you haven't. Bikes take over I-10 in California.

Thank you. I've seen it and it's been a discussion topic on some of the advocacy lists. Apparently, some limited access roads in CA permit bicycle travel, just as they do here in Oklahoma. The only roads a cyclist cannot use here are the turnpikes where signs specifically exclude bicycles, mopeds, horse-drawn vehicles, and pedestrians.

It would be fun to ride past all those stopped cars, but when traffic is moving, it's noisy and nerve-wracking to have 70mph traffic at your elbow.

Could you please update the times for the YMCA leisure rides? We waited at the Y from 6pm - 7pm tonight (Wed. 6/18) We are looking forward to participating - let us know when and where to show up! The flyer at the YMCA states 6:30 Mon & Wed, 3:00 Thurs, and 7am on Sat.

Thank you!

All I know of the Owasso ride schedule was what I found in the Reporter. I haven't participated in any of them because I normally ride to work and back. When evening arrives, I'm tired!

But there are some people at work who may have a better idea. I'll forward your post and see what they have to say.
