Housekeeping issue
CycleDog has been getting some comment spam over the weekend. Spammers are some of the lowest forms of life, right down there with my pet saddle sore. So in order to squash the practice, I've turned on the comment moderation. This means there will be a delay before a comment gets attached to a post. I apologize to all of you for that, but I will not be used as a billboard for some dithering, spamming idiot.

A while back I read an excellent comment about this. The author wasn't really mad at the person who thought up the idea of spamming blog comments, after all everone has bad ideas from time to time. No, he was really pissed at the first person the spammer told his idea to, the one who said "That's a great idea, you should totally do that!"
Retro-moderation is working okay for me -- probably less than 10% of comments to Cyclelicious are spam, and I just delete them if I it's spam.
Your Google Ads today are for Wasabi Peas. :-) I'm amazed anyone would buy advertising for snack foods.
I think that wasabi peas are a nefarious plot on the part of the brewery industry. If I eat one, I want a beer immediately!
Seriously, though, they satisfy my craving for nuts, and it takes only a few of them to do that. When I eat nuts, I'll eat until I'm full.
Oddly enough, just after I enabled comment moderation the spamming stopped. I wanted to report it to Blogger, but there's no contact information. It irks me that someone signed up for an account just so they could spam the rest of us.
